Technovation GirlsBC Mentorship Program

“Every year, Technovation Girls equips young women ages 8-18 with the skills to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. With the support of volunteer mentors, girls work in teams to code mobile apps or build AI projects that address real-world problems they’ve identified. Learn more about the program by visiting the Technovation Challenge website.

As a Technovation GirlsBC Mentor, you will:

  • Spend roughly 20 hours across 4 months to help teams develop their ideas
  • Supervise teams of girls* as they create apps and/or build AI projects to solve community problems
  • Coordinate meeting times with your teams and meet virtually

You do not need to be a technology professional: the mark of a good mentor is someone who embraces and embodies the “I don’t know, let’s find out together” mentality!

* We use the words “girls” and “women” inclusively. All trans*, genderqueer and non-binary folks belong at and are welcome to attend our events.
