All students should have the opportunity to learn about and participate in STEM. That’s why we have developed fun and engaging InSTEM curriculum and a list of funding opportunities below.
CURRICULUM RESOURCES
The Summer 2026 InSTEM Internship Team created lesson plans based on topics that interested them. Then, they got to test out their activities in our summer camps. The resources linked below are everyone’s favourites!
Grade 1-5: Colour Drop Detectives
Students use pipettes to place coloured water droplets onto an oil-coated surface. Through completing a series of challenges, students observe how oil and water don’t mix. They will also learn about surface tension and density.

Grade 4-5: Listening and Learning
Students create a hand-made model of the inner ear to demonstrate how hearing works and learn the importance of listening in storytelling.

Grade 6-7: My Brain Network
Students map out their own brain to learn more about neuroscience. Through the activity, students will also increase their awareness of neurodiversity and social responsibility.

Grade 7-9: Pinhole Camera
Students build their very own box camera to capture light. During the process, students get to discover how modern camera technology works.
