Technovation Girls is an international technology and entrepreneurship education program that equips young women ages 8-18 with the skills to become tech leaders and entrepreneurs. With support from volunteer mentors, girls work in teams to develop technology projects (mobile apps or AI Prototypes) that address real-world challenges. Girls learn programming basics to develop a working prototype and learn how to pitch and market their app.
Created in Silicon Valley in the United States in 2009, Technovation Girls has reached 100+ countries. The British Columbia Chapter of Technovation Girls has been operating since 2016. Technovation Girls is a program of Technovation, a global nonprofit.
