What is ASAP Overnight?

ASAP Overnight is the best way to get a sneak peek into life at one of the most beautiful campuses in the world! We rent a floor in UBC first-year residence for our senior participants entering grades 10, 11, 12 or first-year university, and run evening programs throughout the week to explore UBC and Vancouver. Participants will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in the University atmosphere while making strong connections with like-minded peers. ASAP Overnight runs from 3:00 PM Sunday to 11:00 AM Saturday. Fees include daytime and evening programs as well as housing and food for the week.

Participants will either stay in a single room, double room, or a single connected room in Vanier Original House (Address: 1935 Lower Mall, Vancouver, BC, V6T1X1). A Roommate preference form will be sent out three weeks prior to the program start date. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, however, it is not guaranteed that participants will get their roommate preference. Each room comes with a bed, bed linens, pillow, towel, drawers, mirror, desk, chair, and closet. Laundry facilities and in-room internet access are available on-site for an additional fee. The residence is a ten-minute walk from our ASAP site.

Pack as if you are staying in a hotel for a week. A more comprehensive list of what to pack can be found here.

One of our staff made a vlog about her experience living in residence as a University student. It’s a great sneak peek into what living in residence can be like! Check out the video below!

Participants living in residence will participate in a meal plan for Breakfast & Dinner.

They are also automatically enrolled in our lunch program and will receive lunch during the day camp.

*Additional Fees Apply

Geering Up will not be providing transportation to and from our site.

Participants will join the people in our ASAP camps during the day. Please refer to our main ASAP Summer Programs page for more details about daytime programming.

Participants will get to explore the UBC Vancouver campus and the city of Vancouver guided by instructors. Each night will be a mix of on and off campus activities. Past activities have included Science World, Archery Tag, and going to the beach. This is a great time for participants to ask instructors any questions about University and make valuable connections.
