Codemakers: CS at Geering Up

Closing the Gender Gap in Computer Science

In previous years, registration data has shown that male campers register earlier in the year. As part of our goal to promote Codemakers programs to campers of all genders, Geering Up holds 50% of the seats for girls in our Codemakers camps for the first few weeks of registration. After this time, we fill the remaining spots with students from the waitlist.
If you are registering for a Codemakers camp, please select the ‘seat’ based on the gender of your camper. If you are registering a boy please choose a ‘general’ seat.

Geering Up is proud to be participating in Codemakers, a national program powered by Actua and Google. Actua’s network members at post-secondary institutions across Canada will empower 100,000 youth with critical computer science skills and prepare them for their future roles as innovators in technology.
