Supervision: ASAP Overnight is led by two Geering Up staff members. All Geering Up staff have First Aid certification and have passed a Criminal Record Check.

Breakfast: Included in registration costs. Catered by UBC Housing & Accommodations.

Lunch: Campers have the option to be designated as "Lunch Release" when registering, which means they are allowed to leave the camp group for the duration of lunch break to purchase a lunch. UBC Vancouver has a plethora of amazing food options, examples of which you can find here. Otherwise, Geering Up can provide your camper lunch if you purchase the Lunch Program outlined below.

Lunch Program: If purchased, campers receive a main course, side, and drink for their lunch each day. The lunch program costs are only for Mondays to Thursdays as all campers at UBC Vancouver location receive a pizza lunch on Friday.

Dinner: Included in registration costs. Dependent on the Overnight activity schedule, this may occur on or off campus.

Dietary Restrictions: If your camper has any special dietary restrictions or food allergies, please be sure to note this in your registration. UBC Vancouver typically has food options that can accommodate most diets (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free) though these cannot be guaranteed. Please email us at highschool.geeringup@ubc.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

Proof of Vaccination: proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend overnight camps as per UBC Housing and Accommodation's policies.

COVID-19 Guidelines for Overnight Camps: As of May 2022, campers will be required to wear masks in public indoor spaces, in camp rooms, and on public transportation for field trips. Drop-off and pick-up will happen outdoors whenever possible, and a health screening will be asked before campers are admitted into camps.

If a camper falls sick or tests positive for COVID-19 during the overnight camp, parents/guardians must arrange for their pickup from camp. Campers are not permitted to attend camp if they are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, and will be required to isolate in their accommodations until picked up.

At this time, Geering Up will not be releasing our Summer 2022 COVID-19 Camps policies, as the provincial health guidelines change so frequently. Rest assured, Geering Up will take all necessary measures to protect our campers, staff, and volunteers. All registered parents will receive notification of our COVID-19 policies in advance of summer camps.

Please note that as provincial guidelines change, our policies may update to reflect these changes. Thank you for your patience.
